I wanted to like Dr. Dobriyal, but my entire experience with her has been awful. She’s always late to my appointments, comes without a computer or even a notepad. She doesn’t write down anything and each time she says she’s going to do something like make a referral for a specialist, she doesn’t end up doing it because she doesn’t even remember because she didn’t write down anything. No one at her office answers the phone either – I literally called as soon as they opened, and I was on hold for almost 2 hours. She also went on vacation for almost 4 months without notifying any of her patients or even having a backup doctor covering for her while she was away. I had to see random doctors through an app just to refill my meds and had to go to the emergency for hours for something my family doctor could have helped me with if I could have seen her. She is now supposed to be back from her 4 month long vacation, so my pharmacy faxed her refill requests, and they were told that she no longer works at that clinic. I was not even told and she’s supposed to be my family doctor. She’s still a fairly young doctor so it’s extremely sad to see how poor her bedside manners are, and her lack of care and passion for her patients. I was so excited to finally have a female family doctor in Alberta but the way she shows how little she cares is so disheartening. I would definitely NOT recommend her to others.
Dr Dobriyal is a very thorough physician. Unlike many other physicians whom I have seen in the city she takes the time to listen to you. She does not dismiss your concerns and if she disagrees she will explain and be willing to hear your point of view. Her clinic does at time run late but this seems to be an issue with the clinic she works in, rather than her own ability. She is currently on maternity leave which has made it difficult for my care however through her clinic there are several other physicians who have been covering for her patients in her absence
