Dr. Michelle Cunningham is truly the best doctor I have met in Canada — and I say that with deep care and sincerity. I first became her patient through the weight-loss program, but over time, she has supported me far beyond that. From my very first appointment, she explained everything clearly, thoroughly, and with genuine compassion. Every visit since then has been the same: she listens, she teaches, and she always uses logic and clarity to help me understand what’s happening with my body and my health.
What makes her exceptional is not just her medical knowledge, but her humanity. In the two years I’ve been with her, she has never judged me, even when I didn’t reach my goals. I feel like I’ve failed many times as a patient, but she has never once failed me as a doctor. She has supported me through my highs and lows, both physically and emotionally.
Earlier this year, when I was struggling with the stress of an upcoming unemployment, I arrived at my appointment unable to speak because I was crying. It had nothing to do with my treatment, but she was incredibly kind. She listened, she understood, and she offered support in a way that went far beyond what any patient could expect.
