1 review about Dr Michelle Freedman
I saw Dr Michelle Freedman today as a walk-in patient at the Appletree at York Lanes, & her conduct was disturbing.
I needed Escitalopram refills, and she asked me what has been my stress lately so I described briefly, but she wanted to know more & more so I told her more which she used to judge me as if if it’s something wrong with me for answering her questions. I told her about harassment & discrimination by York University staff as a retaliation after I pointed out on their unethical hiring, unethical practices, & mistreatment of PhD students at the PhD in HRM (me included) to the FGS/deans & president Rhonda Lenton (not knowing they were together in it & even doing wrongs such as stealing from York U). I talked about facts that are available online to check (example: trolling & doxing grad students, corruption at York U by Rhonda Lenton who stole $132 millions & lied publicly that she resigned in June to stop our protests; that RL got money from Doug Ford who stole money from the development fund, ….).
Then, she tried to convince me I may need to see a psychiatrist.
I told her all this info can be found online and that I studied psychology and I know when I need to see a medical dr, a therapist or a psychiatrist.
I came to get pills for my stress, but I am not a case for a psychiatrist because I know all this information.
I told her I asked my psychologist (whom I have seen for a long time) if I may have something, and he said NO. He said & I agree that my stress is related to my experience only at York University. I never had such experience anywhere before & I studied at three different Canadian universities (got 4 degrees).
People know me as a hard working, always reading, advocating for justices, helping others, & as an optimistic good person.
She said that she watches a TV show (Love & B….).. to diagnose people with disorders. She seemed confused as if she is a psychiatrist with expertise to diagnose others with disorders.
She said she will only give me refills for two weeks & I have to go to see her again to get more & for her to see if I have a disorder to send me to a psychiatrist.
This reminded me of the time in history when women were sent in asylum because someone was prejudiced or didn’t like them.
I have never had such experience with a medical doctor before & I found her conduct disturbing so I wanted to inform you about this.
